Mom's Home!!!!

So mom got home on Friday. I'm so excited I missed her while she was gone. She left on Wed. It was a short trip, but she brought back pictures to share. She said I was allowed to post a couple. These were of Mentasta Lake, Alaska. She said the place she stayed (Mentasta Village) is located on the other side of these mountains. She said that she was literaly in the middle of the mountains. I'm glad she's back the female cat in the house (Jazmine) is in heat and won't be quiet. She's been meowing like crazy. Dad had the two male cats get fixed so that they can't get her pregnant. But that still doesn't keep her quiet.

Mom went out and bought me a bunch of chickens when she got back. Grandma told her they were on sale for 69 cents a pound so she's been buying chickens all week.

I overheard that my aunt I've never met left the state without saying goodbye. Mom seems upset about it. I heard she went to Arizona. That seems like the kind of place I should be in. After all I do come from the desert. I don't know why she left mom didn't tell me and I don't think she even knows. Dad doesn't know either. Mom said she'd be really upset if she did not show up for their wedding in Aug. Well I gotta go it's getting close to my bed time. I'll talk to everyone later.

Hello all,
Mom finally let me back on the computer. She said I had to make it short thou. She has to be up at 6am to get ready for her 12 hour work day. That and she has to get ready for a trip to Mentasta. Where ever that is. All she told dad is that is somewhere near Tok. I still have no idea where or what she's talking about, but I guess I get dad all to myself. Maybe he'll let me try being a cat again and let me climb around in the cat tree. You can see my tail sticking out of the cat tree from the last time I went exploring. I hope there will be lots more sun too. My sleeping box makes a great spot for sunning. Plus mom and dad seem to think I stay out of trouble when I'm sunning myself. Little do they know I'm just waiting for them to leave the room and then I play my favorite game. Hide and seek. I hide and they come back in all frantic cause I'm hiding. You should have seen there faces when I first discovered this game. I was hiding on top of the Iguana's cage and they thought I had gone outside or downstairs. I was just trying to get a better sunning spot. It was priceless. I don't think they were happy with me being on top of the Iguana cage because they made me get down right away. So I soak up the sun on the army footlocker as you can see by the photo they've taken of me.

Oh to answer a few of the questions I've gotten. No, I don't eat hamsters, just chicken, rats and an occasional fish or two. (Fish isn't that healthy for me but it's like chocolate for humans I'm told.) I'm too big for dogs to eat me, plus I just hiss and puff up and try to smack them with my tail when they get too close. I don't care for the cold as I come from the desert. I have to go now dad just got home and he wants to check the news and mail now. I'll talk to everyone later. Oh I'm always happy to answer anyone's questions.

Hello all,
So mom and dad decided I smell and that I needed to have my first bath. I'm more of a desert lizard and had never had a bath before so I didn't cooperate really well with staying in the tub. (one of the ways I'm like a dog, hehehe) They also thought it would be a great way for me to get water since I haven't quite put it into memory where the dog water bowl is.
I'd love to hear about everyone's bath time stories. I have to go now my mom wants the computer back now. I tried to tell her no by hissing at her but she knows my tricks already. Talk to everyone later.

Hello everyone,
I'm Chicote. I'm a black throat monitor that believes I'm a lap dog. My new owners Tara and Corey just really love me. They're so nice, they feed me chicken and rats and let me roam around the house. They take me on outings when the weather permits and teach the world about me. I'm one reptile of many as my owners run a reptile rescue and feed. I sleep in this old army foot locker. It's quite comfy. So that's a litte about me. I'll try to share all my stories as often as possible. Provided my owners let me. Talk to everyone later.
